 note = {目的　看護職者が補完代替医療 / 療法（CAM/CAT）をどのように考えているのかを明らかにする．
方法　自記式質問紙法による全国調査を実施した．分析は Berelson の手法を参考に内容分析をおこなった．
結果　564名（回収率55％）から回収し，286名が有効回答であった．記述内容から“その人らしく健康で豊かな生活を支える療法”,“対象者自らが心とからだを調えることを助ける療法”,“日常生活援助にプラスαできる看護技術の 1 つ”,“看護独自の機能としての発展と可能性のある療法”の 4 カテゴリを抽出した．
考察　看護における CAM/CAT は，（ 1 ）目の前で苦しむ対象者の心とからだの安らぎを生みだすことができる．（ 2 ）対象者がその人らしさを維持し人生を豊かなものにし，よく生きることを支えることができる．（ 3 ）日常生活ケアの中で CAM/CAT を実践することで，看護本来の力を発揮することができる．（ 4 ）医療の中に導入するには，看護における CAM/CAT の体系化とエビデンスの確立が急務である．
Purpose　To determine how nursing professionals perceive complementary and alternative medicine and therapy （CAM/CAT）.
Method　We conducted a national survey using a self-administered questionnaire. Data were analyzed using a qualitative content analysis adapted from the approach developed by Berelson.
Results　A total of 564 responses were collected （55% response rate）, of which 286 were valid. From the transcript data, the following four categories were extracted: “a therapy that supports a healthy and rich life in the person's own way,” “a therapy that helps a patient adjust their own mind and body,” “a nursing technique that can be added to daily living assistance,” and “a therapy that could develop as a unique function of nursing.”
Discussion　The findings revealed that CAM/CAT in nursing can provide comfort a patient’s mind and body. It can help a patient maintain their personality, enrich their life, and live a better life. Practicing CAM/CAT in daily life care could help achieve the full potential of nursing. Systematization of CAM/CAT in nursing and establishment of evidence are urgently required to introduce CAM/CAT into healthcare.},
